A music school for everyone !
Casa’Sons Music School is open to everyone from the age of 4. Private lessons are usually given at students’ homes in Dakar. Group classes are held at our music school, located in Ouakam. If necessary, individual lessons can also be arranged at the premises of our partner Keur Yalla, in Liberté 6 Extension.
We offer a comprehensive music training program ranging from musical awakening to advanced training, a variety of courses in the field of music and contemporary music, as well as private lessons.
We train the musicians of tomorrow, whether amateurs or professionals, whatever their age, so that they can fully express themselves through music.
The objectives of Casa'Sons Music School:
Offering a wide choice of instruments
Casa’Sons aims to provide access to as many instruments as possible, with lessons in singing, keyboard / piano, guitar, bass guitar, kora, violin, cello, percussion, drums, and wind instruments: trumpet, trombone, saxophone, tuba and clarinet.
The school particularly aims to promote and encourage the practice of wind instruments. We want to give a strong and modern image to the “brass section” and therefore to the “brass band” (fanfare)!
Learning through group practice
Music is an art that finds its full beauty in playing together. That is why Casa’Sons Music School primarily bases its curriculum and teaching on group practice.
Music training classes (music theory) allow students, through group practice, to put into practice the concepts covered and learn to play together (each with their own instrument), while discovering a multitude of musical styles.
Throughout the year, students will perform in two shows (small concerts) to highlight this spirit of playing together and develop their ability to play as a group and in front of an audience!
Exploring a variety of musical styles
Diversity is what makes today’s music so rich! Casa’Sons, as a contemporary music school, aims to give its students an insight into the stylistic richness of today’s music. Reggae, afrobeat, ska, jazz, rap, electronic music, zouk, Latin music: we explore a variety of musical styles through our group ensembles. Each student will thrive and find their place in an instrumental ensemble suited to their level.
